2020 Canadian Safe Boating Awards (CASBAs)

Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, we are not yet sure about the timing and format of the next Canadian Safe Boating Awards celebration. What we do know is that there are boating safety heroes out there all the time, and that they deserve recognition. So as you are out on the water this summer, keep your eyes open for someone who is making a significant contribution to boating safety – an individual, a group or an organization, and nominate them for a Canadian Safe Boating Award Nomination Form Watch the newsletter and the CSBC website for updates

What are the CASBAs?

Canada with its abundance of lakes and rivers has an extremely rich recreational boating heritage. That this activity is enjoyed safely by millions of Canadians and visitors each year is due in great part to the efforts of boating enthusiasts and experts alike. The CASBA Gala and dinner is hosted in January and recognizes the efforts of the public, volunteers, professionals, agencies and organizations who have distinguished themselves in the fields of boating safety and environmental stewardship. Winners are selected in a number of categories. What makes the CASBAs so very special is that the winners are chosen based on nominations provided by boating enthusiasts... just like you.

Boat Sober

Take a Boating Course

The law now requires that anyone driving a motorized boat must have a pleasure-craft operator card. It’s for your own safety and that of your passengers. Don’t get caught without one. Take a course and get your license!
