Thank you for your interest in learning more about cold water or using the cold water DVD’s for teaching and outreach. We have two DVD’s available, Cold Water Boot Camp and Beyond Cold Water Boot Camp.
Cold Water Boot Camp is geared for the general public and those who might be working on or near cold water. This DVD covers the basics about accidental cold water immersion and provides some great information about increasing your chances of survival in the event of an accident immersion. Created in a very entertaining ‘reality style’ format it will make a strong impression on all who see it. This DVD is approximately one hour and contains a variety of program lengths and short modules to suit virtually any viewing audience or time frame. Both English and French are contained on the DVD.
Beyond Cold Water Boot Camp has been created to offer information for two audiences, water safety educators and first responder. For educators it is the ideal resource to be used in conjunction with Cold Water Boot Camp. Offering a much deeper educational experience than Cold Water Boot Camp, it can help provide the foundation educators need to teach the risks of cold water immersion.
For First Responders, this DVD provides information on recovering a hypothermic victim from the water, triage, rewarming and preparing a hypothermic victim for transport. This DVD is more than 2 hours in length and is available in either English or French.
